Rooney claimed that his children abused him severely, and considering his estate was almost completely insolvent, one tends to believe Rooney. Rooney disinherited his children, his wife and all but one of her children. Despite an unmatched 90-year film career, his estate only had $18,000.

Rooney was not just a gifted actor, singer, dancer and writer - he was a pioneer.
